The Big Block Smart Car

The Smart is one of the silliest little vehicles on the road. Sure, it’s energy-efficient, but that’s about all its got going for it other than maybe its turning radius and ease of parking. Stock, the Smart coupe comes with a tiny 1-liter 70 horsepower engine. Clearly frustrated with its lack of get-up-and-go, one tuner took his Smart and outfitted it with a Chevy big block, extended axles, racing slicks, and a pair of wheelie bars.

The video here gives you a brief look at of the most ridiculous cars you’ll ever see at the drag strip. We’re just impressed that all that torque didn’t rip the diminutive car in two.
