Chris Harris of /DRIVE gets behind the wheel of a new McLaren 650S and puts it through its paces on the 3.3 mile Ascari circuit. The 650S has a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 that generates 641 horsepower and Harris is able to easily get the back end to come around in the corners with a quick tap on the accelerator. Harris quickly gets comfortable with the powerful car and proceeds to drifting pretty much every corner on the track.

McLaren fitted the 650S with stiffer spring and dampers allowing for faster cornering than the 12C and we’re looking forward to a head-to-head comparison at some point. But from what we can see the 650S is going to be great fun on a track and on the street and we can’t wait to get behind the wheel.
