The Roar of the Jaguar F-Type R Coupé

Written by Paul Strauss | April 28, 2014

The 8-cylinder models of the Jaguar F-Type have some of the most incredible exhaust notes in recent memory. Jaguar is pushing the limits even further with its new F-Type R Coupé, which has 55 horsepower more than its convertible counterpart. But its impressive sound is no accident, with each minute detail of its raucous tone precisely engineered. That’s not to say the sounds are faked like they are in some cars. This cat has the power to really back up its mighty roar, and the sounds are just directed and tuned to produce the most impressive auditory sensation possible.

In this video clip, we get a look inside Jaguar/Land Rover’s anechoic testing chamber for a brief look (and listen) at the F-Type R’s incredible sound. You’re gonna want to crank up the volume for this one, kids.
