Gran Turismo 6 vs Real Life in a Mercedes SLS AMG

The Gran Turismo 6 video game has advanced the world of driving simulators to the point where it’s hard to distinguish the virtual world from the real track. The Sunday Times decided to do a head-to-head comparison by putting a professional driver behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 race car for a hot lap of the Ascari circuit and then drive the same car in the virtual world of Gran Turismo 6 around the same track.

The resulting side-by-side comparison is pretty astonishing. Of course, the biggest giveaway in the game is the virtual racing line shown on the track.
