For an upcoming event, Ken Block will be racing in a time trial against some of the world’s greatest drivers on a pitch black course. The Titanium Strong Blackout is sponsored by Castrol and will be done in total darkness: no track lighting and no headlights. Instead, the course obstacles will be created out of beams of light. The races will be done over a period of four days and will include challenges like a laser donut box, a 100m-high column of light, and a dual drift as they perform in sync with each other. The full videos of the races will be released by Logan Films on May 27, 2014.

The drivers competing will be Ken Block, world-renowned rally driver and star of the Gymkhana series of drift videos; Augusto Farfus who recently won the Nürburgring 24 Hours and has emerged as a leading contender in the DTM championship; Adrian Zaugg, a competitor in the Super Trofero Series; and Mike Rockenfeller.

Block will be driving his 2014 Ford Fiesta ST RX43 racer; Farfus will drive a BMW M4, Zaugg will be driving a Lamborghini Aventador, and Rockenfeller will be behind the wheel of an Audi R8 V10. This should make for some great competition and amazing footage. We’ll be sure to follow the results.
