Italian Car Day: Our Kind of Parade

In his latest clip, Tim “Shmee” Burton headed to the Brooklands Museum Auto Italia event, and captured footage of their annual parade. Among the exquisite vehicles making their way around the track were some Alfa Romeo 4Cs and 8Cs, original Fiat 500s, a Ferrari F40, and numerous Lamborghinis. But our favorite car of the bunch has to be the Lancia Stratos – which we’re sure hoping was an original and not one of those kit cars.

And in case you’re wondering about that incredible car that’s bringing up the rear, it’s a custom-built car known as “il drago ruggente” (the roaring dragon), built using a 1924 Delage chassis and a humongous 27-liter V12 airplane engine. We’d love to see it in a drag race with Jay Leno’s Bentley. We’re not sure who’d win, unless the contest was to make as much smoke and noise as possible:
