MEC Design Mods the Ferrari 458 Italia Spider

MEC Design is a German after-market tuning and design firm known for its Mercedes-Benz tuning. But that doesn’t mean they only work on German cars and, in this case, they’ve reworked the already very impressive Ferrari 458 Italia Spider. The modifications include a “Scossa Rossa” body kit with a new front lip spoiler, spoiler corners around the front opening, side skirts, and a three-piece rear diffuser. The body kit is priced at €6,900 (~$9,586 USD).

The buyer may also choose to replace the wheels with the 20-to-22 inch black gloss wheels and Ferrari yellow bolts. MEC Design can also lower the suspension to 60mm and install the MEC Design sports exhaust system.

Inside, the options include a carbon/leather sports steering wheel, a six-piece carbon fiber dashboard, a three-piece center console kit, and a four-piece door set. Suprisingly, MEC Design doesn’t touch the drivetrain or retune the engine. Of course, that just means it will still have the 458 Italia’s 562 horsepower at the ready, which should be more than enough.
