Nissan unveiled the 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO at the North Carolina “ZDAYZ” event, the annual gathering of Nissan, Datsun and NISMO sports car owners and performance enthusiasts. The refreshed 2015 370Z NISMO features a new exterior look, redesigned wheels, a reworked interior, and an available seven-speed automatic transmission.

With a new design inspired by the Nissan GT-R, the car’s aerodynamics are designed to optimize downforce while providing a more aggressive appearance. Up front, the 370Z NISMO has a deep front fascia with LED daytime running lights, black headlight bezels, a NISMO emblem, and the signature NISMO red accent color on the front splitter. The red accents continue down the side sills to the black-color side mirrors and along the rear lower portion of the rear fascia. Nissan has reshaped and reduced the size of the rear spoiler for the 2015 model. The 19-inch NISMO forged aluminum-alloy wheels have been redesigned and are now finished in a charcoal gray machine-finish rather than the previously silver. The car is available in four exterior colors: Solid Red, Magnetic Black, Brilliant Silver and Pearl White.

Inside, the 2015 model has a redesigned interior with black-and-red Recaro leather-appointed seats with Alcantara accents. The seats feature red seat trim and stitching with the NISMO logo. They are complemented by a Alcantara and leather-wrapped steering wheel and NISMO red tachometer. It also comes with Nissan’s new navigation system which includes a 7-inch touch-sensitive display.

There are two transmissions to choose from: a 6-speed manual transmission with synchronized downshift rev matching or a 7-speed automatic also with downshift rev matching and paddle shifters. The engine is the same as previous years: Nissan’s 350-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL).

It is expected to go on sale in July 2014.
