Infographic: The Fiat 500 Through the Years

Fiat began making the Fiat 500 way back in 1957 when it first introduced the iconic 1957 Cinquecento. Fiat recently paid tribute to that car with a limited edition version of the newest Fiat 500. The Thames Motor Group looks back at the 500’s history with this infographic tracing the car back to its 1957 roots.

The first version of the 500 was produced from 1957 to 1975 with 3,893,294 units built during that period. Fiat retired the 500 for some time, reintroducing the model to production in 2007 with the all-new Fiat 500 which has since been joined by the decidedly less thrilling 500L. But, our favorite (which isn’t shown on the graphic) is the fastest Fiat 500: the Abarth 695 Biposto.
