Nissan GT-R LM NISMO Coming to Le Mans 2015

After being absent from the category since 1999, Nissan is returning to the LMP1 prototype competition at Le Mans in 2015, and is hell-bent on defeating Porsche, Audi and Toyota. Rather than building a car that looks like all the other ones out there, they’re building a tricked-out, high-performance, high-tech evolution of the Nissan GT-R, called the GT-R LM NISMO.

Nissan plans on revealing the GT-R LM NISMO later in the year, and will be racing two of the cars in next year’s LMP1 competition. We’re excited for Nissan’s showing at Le Mans, but we want to see the car – not just a blanket blowing in the wind. For now, we’ll just bask in the glow of the street legal GT-R NISMO.
