Spintires: The Ultimate Off-road Truck Simulator

While most automotive video games are focused on racing, this unusual game breaks the mold, encouraging players to take to the woods in massive off-road trucks, tearing up rocks, carrying lumber, driving through mud, water and over treacherous bridges. Trust us when we say that Spintires doesn’t look like one of those lame bus driving simulators.

The PC game offers up driving challenges in which you have a map and a compass, and must navigate your way through obstacles to your destination. It offers a robust physics model, and some amazing challenges for the off-road vehicles included in the game, which range from 4×4 quads to Land Rovers, to massive military vehicles. It will also include multiplayer capabilities.

We haven’t gotten to play Spintires yet, but it sure looks like fun. The game drops on June 13, 2014 for $29.99(USD), but if you pre-order, you’ll save 10%. In the mean time, PC users can grab the original tech demo of the game engine here.
