The record-breaking daredevil Felix Baumgartner is moving from his prior world as the first man to break the speed of sound simply by falling 128,000 feet when he jumped out of a balloon at edge of space to the world of high performance racing. As we previewed before, Baumgartner is training with Audi to compete in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring on June 21, 2014.

Driving the 570 horsepower Audi R8 LMS ultra GT3 car, Baumgartner will share the driving with more experienced teammates, including five-time Le Mans winner Frank Biela, three-time Le Mans winner Marco Werner, as well as GT and sports car pro Pierre Kaffer.

Follow Baumgartner’s progress on the Felix 24Hours site and, in the meantime, enjoy this cool video showing Felix going from skydiving to the cockpit of his Audi racer.
