The World’s Fastest Hearse

While our friends at AMS Performance spend most of their time turning fast Nissan GT-Rs into insanely fast Nissan GT-Rs, they do have a sense of humor too. Case in point, their side project – “Madness” – an old 1996 Chevrolet Caprice hearse that’s been souped up with a massive 1000 horsepower.

By adding 23psi of boost to the 6.0L GM LQ4 engine in this 5,000+ pound hearse, they were able to do a 1/4 mile in just 9.94 seconds @ 137.36mph. In addition, 0-to-60 time for the hearse was just 2.26 seconds. To put that in perspective, this hearse is faster than a Lamborghini Aventador, and hit the 1/4 mile in less time than a Porsche 918 Spyder.
