Mario Andretti Hands out Slowness Citations

Written by Kenny Hoeschen | June 8, 2014

Honda has teamed up with the legendary racing driver Mario AndrettiĀ – the only driver to ever win the Daytona 500, the Indy 500, and Formula One titles – and patrolled the sidewalks of Chicago to hand out citations for general slowness. It’s part of Honda’s “Fastest Seat” promotion to show off its cars and give someone the chance to ride along with Andretti in a two-seat Indy racer. Enter nowĀ to have a chance at this once-in-a-lifetime ride.

The promotion is pretty funny, with Andretti pulling up in an Indy racer and joining the Honda Speed Patrol in citing unsuspecting pedestrians for violations like lackadaisicalĀ meandering, indecisiveness, and generally indecent slowness. Surprisingly,Ā they didn’t hand out any tickets to the city’s countless bad drivers.

Of course, any car enthusiast would love to do a few laps with one of the greatest drivers in motoring history. If you win, be sure to send us a picture so we can throw darts at it.
