2015 Land Rover Discovery

Land Rover has revealed its new 2015 Land Rover Discovery which will be available for delivery beginning in September 2014. Bringing over some of the design cues fro the Discovery XXV Special Edition anniversary model, the new Discovery has new options not available previously in the Discovery line of SUVs.

Customers will have the choice of Ebony/Cirrus Dual-tone Windsor Leather seats and the Grand Black Lacquer wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel. Or customers may choose to have a new new Straight Grained Walnut wood and leather steering wheel with complementary wood veneer sets.

The exterior can be upgraded to include the XXV 20-inch 5-split spoke forged alloy wheels with a light silver polished finish in addition to the other three styles of 20-inch wheels already available. Additionally, three new body colors can be selected: Aruba, Kaikoura Stone and Montalcino Red plus a new metallic white called “Yulong” to be available later.

Land Rover has also updated the in-dash technology with the introduction of Land Rover InControl Apps bringing the feel and convenience of smart phones to the Discovery’s touchscreen. The apps provide functions such as GPS navigation, media streaming, internet radio and location services, along with connecting to a smartphone calendar, contacts and music library.

The new Discovery will come with the choice of a 3.0-liter 340hp V6 supercharged gasoline engine or 3.0-liter 211hp TDV6 diesel. Both come with Eco stop/start technology to improve efficiency and each is tied to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
