Pogea Racing Unlocks Fiat 500 Abarth Euro 6 ECU

The aftermarket tuning specialists at Pogea Racing have applied their magic to the Fiat 500 Abarth and boosted the 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine to 168hp. That may not seem like a big power output, considering the 500 Abarth rolls off the line with a 160 hp under the hood, but it does mean that Pogea was able to access the locked down EUR 6 ECU of the 500, something that other aftermarket tuners haven’t yet been able to accomplish.

This gives the diminutive 500 Abarth a top speed of 140 mph and a 0-to-62mph (100 kmh) time of 6.6 seconds. And the increased performance is available at the flip of a switch. The Stage 1 package takes the car to 162hp and is priced at € 819 (~$1,116 USD) and Stage to takes it to the top end 168hp for € 919 (~$1,253 USD).

Of course, buyers may also wish to partake in Pogea’s aftermarket accessories for the Abarth, like the beautiful 18×8 27mm Offset Racing XCUT wheels shown above.
