Five BMW M235i Burn Some Rubber

BMW’s M235i has been garnering massive praise for its price-performance ratio, and it really does look like great fun to drive. A team of five identical cherry red M235is were recently spotted hooning it up in Cape Town, South Africa practicing for a commercial shoot, in which the cars follow each other tightly around a traffic circle.

Paul Tan reports that the cars were piloted by professional stunt and drift drivers Rhys Millen, Rich Rutherford, Samuel Hubinette, Conrad Grunewald and Daijiro Yoshihara, all of whom should have no problem pushing these sporty daily drivers to the limit. 

Out of the box, the M235i has outstanding grip in the corners, so we’re guessing they had to disable traction control in order to get the cars to go sideways as neatly as they do in the video. We’re looking forward to seeing the completed commercial when it’s released in about a month. In the mean time, you can check out some footage captured during the commercial shoot below:
