Dodge Challenger Hellcat: Gratuitous Burnouts
With its insane 707-horsepower 6.2 liter engine and 650 lb-ft. of rear-wheel drive torque, there’s no question that the 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat will be a burnout machine. In this clip from Car and Driver, they got their hands on a pair of the cars to do nothing more than to take them to the dragstrip and smoke the tires. We could almost smell the burnt rubber here in our office when we watched the clip.
Surely, this is just a tease for some still-to-come drag racing action. We’re looking forward to finding out what sort of 1/4-mile times the cars turned in.
