Stirling Moss took the checkered flag at the 1956 Monaco Grand Prix driving a Maserati 250F and, in this video celebrating 100 years of Maserati history, Moss recounts his love of the 250F. While not as fast in a straight line as the Ferraris, Moss was able to establish a big lead early on and led throughout the race. The nimble Maserati handled superbly over the 1.9 mile course’s many hairpin turns and Moss held off a late charge by Juan Fangio driving the Ferrari, finishing with a 6.1 second victory.

Watch the wonderful video of the 1956 race below, as Moss holds off the Ferrari team in Maserati car #28.
