SMART is known for building tiny city cars that are supposed to be practical around town, with great economy, high maneuverability, and ease of parking in small spaces. But now SMART is going in another direction, building the world’s largest city car – and practicality be damned. But there are certain advantages to driving the biggest car in town: for example, you can spot it parked miles away, the fuel economy of the cars in its wake will be greatly improved, and it’s so large it has its own atmosphere, so there’s no need for a heating or cooling systems.

See how some members of the general public reacted to the new, giant city car below. It’s actually pretty amusing to see how some of them are completely on board with the idea.

Dat steering wheel.
