Participating in the 2014 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, veteran driver and seven-time winner of the event Jeff Zwart set a new record qualifying time for the event in his Porsche GT3 Cup Turbo Hill Climb Special. Ride along with Zwart on race day when one of his fuel pumps begins to fail almost immediately after the race start and gets worse as he progresses up the mountain. Zwart still manages to hit speeds of over 140 mph over the 12.42-mile course, but dogged by the bad fuel pump, he’s unable to repeat his speed in qualifying, finishing at 10:01.917 and falling to winner Vincent Beltoise driving a Porsche 911 GT3 RS who beat him by 1.173 seconds.

Nonetheless, this POV video is incredible, with Zwart pushing the Porsche to its limits and the car’s turbochargers screaming all the way up the mountain.
