MINI Businessman Commuter Concept

MINI Businessman Commuter Concept

The MINI line of compact, sporty cars are very capable cars and certainly suitable for everyday driving, but a group of seven students at the Institute Supérieur de Design Valenciennes in France have taken the challenge of creating a version of the MINI targeting commuters and businessmen (and, we expect, businesswomen).

Taking a new approach to the commuter vehicle, the concept car has many features we don’t normally associate with MINI, such as large gullwing doors, 22-inch multispoke wheels, a modern grey and white two-tone exterior, plenty of room for four passengers, and large front and rear bucket seats finished in wood veneer. The team has retained the MINI signature round, center dash display but has updated it with an advanced display. The steering wheel is also updated with blue leather and accented with green contrast stitching to match the green dashboard displays. Of course, being a commuter car means that this concept MINI also comes with a cupholder, although we’re not sure it would hold our Starbucks Trenta iced coffee.
