Drifting a Minivan (HOONIVAN)

You’d think that burning rubber and going sideways would be damn near impossible to pull off in a minivan, but that’s exactly what Tofu Drift Van did with their stripped down Toyota Previa family hauler. In this clip, we get a glimpse at what the van can do with just a 2.4-liter, 133 horsepower engine under the hood and a skilled drift driver at the wheel.

Given the fact that the van came in a rear-wheel drive configuration – and with an optional supercharged engine – we’re pretty sure this wouldn’t be a difficult trick to replicate, assuming you disable traction control and put the right tires on it.

The video also indicates that an upgraded 4.0 liter Lexus V8 engine is on the way, and it looks like that project is now underway. We’re looking forward to seeing how it handles when the mods are complete.
