Charlie Chaplin’s 1964 Bentley S3 Hits eBay

This beautiful 1964 Bentley S3 was purchased new by legendary comedian Charlie Chaplin in 1964 for the price of 65,000 Swiss francs. The luxurious car has a BFG 6.2-liter 8-cylinder engine with almost 68,000 miles on it, but the entire car has recently been completely restored, so it’s likely to have many more miles to go. This piece of history was most recently owned by Quebecois author and comedian Yvon Deschamps.

The inside panel of the front passenger door still contains an inscription done by a Rolls-Royce craftsman reading “Good Old Charlie”. It’s available for purchase on eBay with a starting bid of $750,000(USD). The current auction closes on August 13, 2014, but thus far there have been no qualifying bids.
