Renault Sport R.S.01

Renault recently teased us with a tiny bit of their upcoming RS Trophy car, the R.S. 01 Racer, and now they’ve fully revealed this impressive vehicle.

As previously reported, the R.S. 01 will be powered by a Nissan NISMO-sourced, 3.6-liter, twin turbo 500+ horsepower engine, mid-mounted for ultimate balance and performance. Weighing in at about 2,425 pounds, it’s sure to be a beast on the track, and has a top speed of 186mph+. It’s shifted by a Sadev seven-speed sequential gearbox, and rides on Ohlins 2-way adjustable dampers. With massive 15-inch carbon brake rotors, it should have no problem coming to a stop.

Inside, it’s been equipped with all the proper safety gear, including a steel roll cage,  and a sport seat with a six-point harness and HANS device compatibility.
