2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT

While I’m not sure if we’ll see much use of the SRT name outside of Dodge anymore, that hasn’t stopped Jeep from releasing another badass iteration of its Grand Cherokee, badged with the SRT moniker. The most powerful production Jeep, the SRT has a huge 6.4-liter V8 HEMI engine capable of outputting 475 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque.

This extra power allows the Jeep to tow up to 7200 pounds – 44% more load than previous generations. In addition, it can go from 0-to-60 mph in just 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 160mph – not bad for a full-size SUV. Shifting is achieved with an 8-speed automatic transmission with dynamic shift map changing. Also along for the ride is active noise cancelling tech in the cabin to keep road noise down.

Also new to the 2015 model is the special Red Vapor edition, which, despite its name, is available in Redline Red Pearl, Brilliant Black Crystal and Bright White body colors. It rides atop 20-inch five-spoke black chrome wheels, and inside you’ll find aggressive black chrome and Radar Red accents, though sadly Jeep chose not to share any images of this new interior.
