Fiat looks like they’re considering going head-to-head with the MINI Countryman and the Nissan Juke with a new compact SUV, the Fiat 500X. The company has released a very short and very red teaser video showing the lines of the new CUV, but nothing else has yet been released awaiting its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. From what can be seen in the video, the 500X’s styling reflects that of the Fiat 500L, with a similar front fascia but with a higher stance, sloping roofline, and a swept-back C-pillar, hinting at a sportier vehicle.

Sharing the same platform as the 500L, the 500X seems to be more closely related to the other SUV that shares the same platform: the Jeep Renegade. The new 500X is expected to be available in the U.S. beginning in 2015 and we expect it to share many of the powertrain options as its Jeep brethren.
