Assembling a Porsche GT3 Cup Racer in 60 Seconds

Written by Kenny Hoeschen | September 10, 2014

If you’ve ever dreamed of building your own race car or wish you could be part of the engineering team for Porsche Racing, this video from Porsche’s GT3 team shows how they can assemble a GT3 Cup racer from boxes of parts to a complete car ready for the track. From the car’s beautiful body panels to the 460 hp naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six  engine in the back, these guys make it look simple. Of course, the parts are all inventoried and sorted ahead of time and the shop is spotless, as one would expect from a professional racing team.

Since I typically have trouble assembling an IKEA bookshelf, I doubt I could do what these guys do if I had six months to complete the car. But I would like to get my hand on a set of keys and be let loose in that garage for a few hours.
