Automotive, fashion and furniture designer Camilo Pardo is best known for leading the design work on the 2005-2006 Ford GT. He also recently won Motor City Masters. But it’s rare that you get to go for a ride with a car designer in the very vehicle he designed. Fortunately, for Fireball Tim Lawrence, he got to sit down with Camilo for a ride in his own GT, for a discussion about cars, art and design.

His impressive rendering skills have led him beyond design to creating original paintings and art prints of cars. As the discussion progresses, we learn about what car Camilo would next like to work on, and what inspires him.

Camilo’s own Ford GT has been modded from stock, with a tune and pulley job to increase power from about 550 to 650 horses, as well as an upgraded exhaust system to give it the oomph it deserves.
