Sabine Schmitz: Porsche 997 GT3 RS vs. 991 GT3

Sabine Schmitz is considered the “Queen of the ‘Ring” because of her experience and mastery of the famed Nürburgring. Schmitz takes a look at her current racer, a Porsche 991 GT3 that has done more than 12,000 miles on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and compares it to a new Porsche 991 GT3.

In a straight-line race, the 991 GT3 takes the flag thanks to the additional 24 horsepower it has under the gas pedal, the new PDK gearbox, and launch control. When she gets behind the wheel herself, she’s very impressed with the car’s acceleration and that engine sound at 9,000 RPM. We can’t wait to see the results when she takes the new Porsche around the Nordschleife to really see what it can do.
