Volvo Shows Off New XC90 R-Design

We got our first looks at all-new 2015 Volvo XC90 SUV not long ago and Volvo has followed up that unveiling with a look at the sportier version of the full-size vehicle: the Volvo XC90 R-Design. The new R-Design matches the standard XC90 when it comes to the powertrain, so you won’t see any increase in performance on the road, but with the styling changes both inside and out you may feel like you’re going faster nonetheless.

On the exterior, the new R-Design gets a number of new trim features, like 20-inch R-Design alloy wheels, a deep black front grille and lip spoiler, silk metal window trim, integrated dual tailpipes, bright roof rails, and matte silver side mirrors. Inside, the special vehicle is fitted with a 12.3-inch driver display, which features a unique R-Design theme, and a table-like touch screen on the center console. The theme is also carried over to the gearshift knob, pedals, floor mats and illuminated tread plates and even a special R-Design leather key fob.

No pricing details have yet be released on the new model. The new XC90 will go on sale in the spring of 2015.
