Hyundai and Bisimoto Building 700+hp Sonata

As you may know, I very much enjoyed driving the 2015 Hyundai Sonata. But while the car is one of my favorite daily drivers of the year, it’s not exactly something you’d take to the track. But that hasn’t stopped California tuning shop Bisimoto Engineering from giving it the old college try. In fact, right now, they’re working on a 2015 Sonata which has been boosted to 708 horsepower. Yes, this car will have one more horsepower than the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. It’s also bound to weigh quite a bit less, given its 2.4-liter power plant.

With a high-boost turbocharger, upgraded valvetrain, and a new six-speed manual transmission, the car is sure to be a beast. Other enhancements include a stainless steel sports exhaust system, 18-inch wheels from Fifteen52, a track-focused interior with a roll cage, and a massive aerodynamic wing on the rear of the car. The only image we have to go by at this point is the teaser shot shown here, but you can expect to see more of the car if you make it to the 2014 SEMA show in Las Vegas this November.
