The Van

Vans might not be the most exciting vehicles on the road, but next to 18-wheelers and pick-up trucks, they’re the backbone of regional commerce in much of the world, hauling goods from warehouses to businesses and homes, and shutting kids to soccer practice.

In this short animated film from Steve Savalle, Fraser Davidson, Mike Basilico, and Chris Naglik, we’re presented with a brief history of the van, and how it evolved from Daimler and Benz’s competing box trucks to the vehicles we see on the road today.

Bonus points for the Napoleon Dynamite reference.
