Maserati Ghibli Ermenegildo Zegna Edition

Maserati debuted its Ghibli Ermenegildo Zegna Edition concept at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The vehicle, based on the Ghibli S Q4 model, has been styled and finished in partnership with the design firm of Ermenegildo Zegna.

On the exterior, the special edition shows off a unique Azzurro Astro exterior body paint based on a triple layer of pigment, adding to the depth, shine and iridescence of the finish, enhanced by changing shades of blue at the brightest points, and toned down to ash grey in the darker areas. It also comes fitted with 20-inch Urano alloy wheels with a Liquid Metal finish.

But the real changes to the vehicle are on the inside, designed with a contrasting color scheme created by combining the finest leather and valuable Zegna yarns. The seats are done in extra fine grain, natural color leather with contrasting, light grey stitching. In the center, a matching silk insert is done with a micro-chevron weave of vertical rolls on the central seat and backrest area. The door panels are covered with Zegna silk jersey and embellished by a diagonal roll pattern, with ton-sur-ton ornamental stitching and alternating rib embroideries. The door sill plates are machined from billet aluminum and satin-finished with a glossy carbon fiber insert and the Maserati logo. An exclusive Ermenegildo Zegna Edition plate is applied to the external central pillar and tunnel between the front seats.

The car is powered by Maserati’s high-performance 410 HP V6 Twin-Turbo engine, with “Q4” four wheel drive, ensuring 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration in just 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 176 mph. No word from Maserati whether this edition will be available to the public.
