Reliant Robin Race Recovery

For those of you unfamiliar with the Reliant Robin, it’s possibly one of the worst cars ever designed, thanks primarily to its tendency to roll over every time it turns a corner. That, and that it sucks in every other possible way. The Robin has a single wheel up front, and two wheels in the back. Yes, it’s basically a two-seat tricycle with a gas engine. So if your put a bunch of Reliant Robins into a race, you’re just asking for trouble.

In this clip from an indoor Robin race during the 2011 Autosport International show in Birmingham, England, you’ll enjoy a dozen or so of the awkward little British cars driving around in a circle, when the completely predictable happens – one of the cars flips. But never count a good man down, I say. Wait for it. Yes, he manages to right the car and keep on racing without ever getting out of the vehicle. Impressive-ish.
