Audi RS7 to Do a Driverless Lap of Hockenheim

Audi has been testing its driverless A7 on the public roads in Florida recently, but now it’s going to move to an entirely new realm by putting a 560 horsepower RS7 Sportback on the Hockenheimring for a lap.
The event will be shown live on Audi’s media site on October 19, 2014, with the RS7 (hopefully) traversing the 17 turns of the 2.8-mile track. And, this will not be a leisurely drive down Florida’s Lee Roy Selmon Expressway; rather, the RS7 will complete the lap at racing speed. Audi says the lap will be comparable to what can be done by a professional racing driver, with the RS7 reaching speeds of around 150 mph.
