RotoR Captures Drifting from a New Angle

I’ve seen tons of drifting footage over the years, but this is definitely the first time I’ve seen drifting captured from the top of the car and spinning freely around the car as it corners. Using a device called the RotoR – a swiveling dual camera mount and a pair of GoPro cameras, they were able to capture this cool footage of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution doing what it does best, as it slides around corners on snow and ice.

The RotoR mount can also be used to capture 360º footage when mounted to your helmet or other locations – as shown in the videos below – though it does have a bit of a wide berth when it’s spinning – and it creates some funky shadows at times.
