Magnus Walker is a well-known restorer of classic Porsche 911s, and any enthusiast of the historic 911 models would love to own or just drive one of Walker’s incredible creations. eGarage.com had the chance to stop by Walker’s Los Angeles garage and go for a drive in a 1978 Porsche 911 SCHR. According to Walker, he received this car after it had been a track car for 10 years and was able to transform it in just six weeks into what we see in this video.

Walker’s plan was to prove that his advice to potential Porsche buyers – that a Porsche SC makes sense for someone who is looking for an affordable, first-time buyer 911 – is actually workable. Since he started with a track car, it already had a lot of the upgrades he would’ve been looking to do anyway. He was able to make a lot of the other modifications with used or re-sourced parts, also saving a lot of money that way. The result looks pretty fantastic and seems to be an ideal way to get into a classic 911 that looks like great fun to drive. I’d just like to hear the price of the base car and what the build would cost.

You can learn even more about Magnus Walker and his amazing restorations in the documentary film, Urban Outlaw.
