Bentley Teases New SUV: Inspired by Nature

“I love my Bentley, but I would really rather be driving an SUV.” – No one ever.

OK, perhaps that’s a little harsh, but Bentley already builds some of the most incredible and luxuriously appointed cars available anywhere. Not only does the British automaker fit extremely powerful engines in their coupes and sedans, but many models are delivered with Bentley’s advanced all-wheel drive system. So there’s no doubt that the Bentley lineup is already very capable even in the most extreme conditions.

But Porsche and Land Rover have proven that there is a willing market for luxury, full-sized SUVs and apparently Bentley isn’t going to leave that segment untapped. In this teaser video, Bentley illustrates how its new SUV’s design and details are inspired by the explorers who conquered the deserts and remote places of the world.

Bentley previously announced the SUV would be a 2016 model, but hasn’t announced when it will be revealing the complete vehicle to the world. It wouldn’t be a surprise if it showed up at the 2014 LA Auto Show in a couple of weeks.
