Nissan’s GT Academy 2014: Gamers Compete

Nissan is launching the Season 4, 2014 edition of its program that takes the best virtual drivers from the Gran Turismo Playstation 3 franchise and puts them behind the wheel of a real race car to compete in real world races. Yep, these are the geeks who fly past you when you’re driving your Ford Focus in GT6 and they’re behind the wheel of Nissan GT-R NISMO.

The best Gran Turismo drivers are chosen from all over the world to compete head-to-head over a period of a few weeks. The winner will be awarded a real racing contract worth $1,000,000 (USD). Drivers will take on an incredible variety of challenges, from shooting bazookas from moving cars, to driving off road dune buggies, and compete behind the wheel of the Nissan GT-R, the Nissan 370Z NISMO and the Nissan Juke NISMO.
