Chameleon Plasti-Dipped Porsche 991 Turbo S

There are times when I’m not crazy about vinyl skins and aftermarket finishes on cars, and times when I think they look great. I think it’s all in the execution and the particular finish – along with the car you do it on. The last time I posted about a Plasti-Dip job it was an Audi S6 done up with an awesome color-changing paint finish. Well apparently, whoever owns this Porsche 991 Turbo S liked that look too, and put the same sort of chameleon finish on his car.

The guys who did the Audi – DipYourCar – also did this installation, using four coats of a pearlescent called Triton Chameleon, which includes a huge variety of colors, and looks spectacular out in the sun. Just look at all of the beautiful blue, green, purple, and red shades that reflect off of the car as the camera pans around it in the video. Wow.

Of course, the best thing about coating your car with Plasti-Dip is that it not only can be removed if you get sick of it, it protects the underlying paint of your car.
