LEGO Car Factory Churns out Tiny Cars

The process of building actual cars is a mindblowingly complex orchestration of humans and robotic machinery. In tribute to the work that happens along automotive assembly lines every day, builder SuperLEGOSam created a robotic car assembly line of his own – but this one creates miniature LEGO vehicles.

This complicated LEGO NXT machine build cars which are assembled from four core components – a far cry from the thousands which go into real cars. A series of modules first picks up the LEGO bricks, moves them into position, then another presses them into place.

Regardless of the simplicity of the finished cars, it’s still an impressive LEGO build, and it makes you truly appreciate amount of work which must go into building of a real automotive manufacturing facility.
