The solar eclipse has finally passed and Lexus has fully unveiled its new open-air concept: The LF-C2. The car made its debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show after the slow reveal was completed. The new sports convertible is done as a beautiful 2+2 roadster, with a bunch of styling cues taken from the RC F coupe, but with a long list of design tweaks and updates throughout.
The spindle grille carries forward to the new concept (albeit with a refined mesh design) and looks great in deep black contrasting with the car’s brilliant golden yellow finish. Lexus has wrapped the LF-C2 in a breathtaking paint job achieved through a multi-layer process of primer, silver, clear coat, and then the yellow top coat. Inside, the cabin features a center console that sweeps from the dash past the front seats to the rear deck. The dashboard is a study in simplicity, with a straightforward instrument cluster, a central video monitor, and an analog clock in the center.
