Russian Student Designs Ultimate Off-Road Vehicle

Russian Sergey Kon’kov, a graduate student at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, decided to design the ultimate off-road vehicle for his graduate thesis project and the result is the Qoros 8. The design isn’t as outrageous as some of the off-road custom vehicles we’ve seen in the past, but one of the goals was that the vehicle would be production ready.

The distinctive SUV looks ready to tackle just about any off-road adventure one might imagine, with aggressive tires, a wide stance, and an impressive departure angle with what look to be protective skid plates underneath. The unique dual exhaust ported through the tail and the wrap-around taillights are also sure to garner attention both on and off road. The innovative concept SUV is designed around the Qoros platform on which the Qoros 3 sedan and Qoros 3 hatchback are built, but Qoros hasn’t said anything about moving forward with production at this point.
