Nordic Auto Plow: Clear Your Drive with Your Car

If you’re already tired of shoveling snow out of your driveway before you leave for work (I’m looking at you, Buffalo, New York), then maybe you’d prefer to use the power of your own car to plow your drive. That’s the thinking behind the Nordic Auto Plow. The concept is simple: the large plastic plow attaches to the front of your car and pushes the snow right off the drive. Thanks to the plow’s front rounded edge, it won’t get hung up in cracks or seams in your driveway. And you can choose from either a straight plow or a V-shaped plow.
The plow weighs about 52 pounds and attaches with four straps and two bungee cords. Pricing begins at $699 (USD) for either the straight or V-plow.
While the principal is pretty straightforward, I’m not sure I’d attach this to my expensive daily driver. On the other hand, if you have a beat up clunker in the garage, you could save yourself a lot of time and effort. Of course, you’ll either have to detach it before you leave for work or you’ll end up plowing the roads all the way in.
