Watch Land Rovers Climb a Ridiculously Steep Hill

If you ever had any doubt that Range Rovers could really handle extreme terrain, this video should convince you. This footage from a few years back shows both a Range Rover Sport and a Land Rover Discovery tackling the sort of extremely steep hill that give drivers white knuckles (and brown shorts) when behind the wheel. According to my rough measurements from the video, it looks like the hill is at scary steep 51-degree angle.

The SUVs zip up the hill surprisingly quickly, though they do struggle a bit more with traction on the way down. Trust me when I say, there’s nothing quite like being able to only see the sky on the way uphill, and staring at what seems like certain death below when driving an off-road vehicle downhill.
