Lamborghini Countach 5000: ’80s Awesome

As a child of the 1980s, I had posters of the Lamborghini Countach all over my bedroom walls. This is to me one of the best-looking Lamborghini cars ever made, and one of the vehicles that actually got me into cars as a kid. I will never forget the first time I watched Cannonball Run with the two hot women racing around in that Countach.
A dude named Harry Metcalf is living my childhood dream, and owns a beautiful 1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole. It’s a proper Italian sports car red and in this video from Harry’s Garage, he shows us around the car in plentiful detail so we can see what the scissor-doored ’80s supercar is all about.
Under the hood is a carbureted 5.2-liter V12 with plenty of power. Despite being quite wide, car is apparently much shorter than you might think – on par with a Lotus Exige. And the epic wing on the back – it actually adds drag – but it looks damned cool doing it.
This is a fantastic video that shows you all the ins and outs of the car, including how you put gas in it.
