Tesla Model X SUV Spied Testing

Written by Shane McGlaun | February 2, 2015

Tesla has really impressed the heck out of many people in the automotive market with the Model S rocking a long electric driving range, and some models offering incredible performance. The next car to come from Tesla will be an SUV called the Model X. The vehicle was first announced way back in 2012, and is apparently getting much closer to production. A prototype was recently spied by Juan del Real doing some camouflaged testing in Alameda, California, in a spot familiar to fans of Mythbusters.

The Model X is expected to use the same electric motors found in the Model S P85D. That should mean impressive performance from the electric SUV. The Model X also has some very cool  doors that swing up allowing unfettered access to the back seats. Those will surely be popular with new parents who have small kids in big car seats.

Sadly, we still aren’t sure if its cool falcon-wing doors are making it to production. I suspect they are, since they were prominently featured in the concept and were one of the most talked about features.
