Jaguar Is Considering an XKSS Continuation

My name is “Stirling” and I’m an automotive journalist. Needless to say, I feel an odd and almost certainly not reciprocated kinship with motorsport legend Sir Stirling Moss. Because of this, and because this car is awesome, I have a deep seated fetish love for the Jaguar D-Type and the XKSS that was derived from it. Sadly, a full nine of the 25 XKSS’s perished in a 1957 factory fire.

Now Jaguar Special Operations has revealed in an interview with Autovisie that it is strongly considering rebuilding those nine cars exactly as they were as a continuation series. Yes, they would even get ’57 VINs and everything. There’s no confirmation yet, or a word on pricing, but I would expect the price to be very, very expensive. You should consider just giving up now unless your name is “Ralph Lauren.” If your name is “Ralph Lauren,” please take me for a ride.
