While at a media preview event before the opening of the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, I had the chance to get up close and personal with the new 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, and boy does it look great. Powered by the same 707+ horsepower supercharged HEMI found in the Challenger Hellcat, this beast is the Charger I’ve always wished existed.
I especially love the new facade on this year’s Chargers, and with the removal of the fog lights to improve airflow, the SRT Hellcat looks even more aggressive than the standard front end. The whole shebang rides on 20″ dark aluminum wheels, with massive Brembo disc brakes lurking beneath. My favorite touch is the Hellcat logo on the front fenders – a much better choice than plastering the word “Hellcat” all over the place.
Check out the rest of the pics in the gallery below.
I also have got to hand it to Dodge for the interior of the car. It’s quite stunning with its Laguna leather sport seats and quilted door panels:
For the first time since the late 1960s, I actually think I like the way the Charger looks more than the Challenger.
